This is a resource to help people make a difference. The Bible tells us that Jesus went about "doing good" (Acts 10:38) and that our good deeds bring glory to God (Mt 5:16). Everybody knows they should make a difference, but sometimes it’s just hard getting started. So, we at The Link want to help you get started. We offer two options, join us on our events or use the contacts below to initiate your own.
Calendar: Another tool that will help you keep up with what's going on is The Link Calendar.
Upcoming Community Link Events:

The Giving is a community-wide multi-church Thanksgiving worship service with an opportunity to help families in need. It is held on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
Suggested Offering Items: Frozen Turkeys, Bags of Potatoes, Canned Yams, Canned Green Beans, Canned Cranberry Sauce, Stuffing, Rolls, etc. Monetary gifts will also be greatly appreciated. The goal is to provide the fixings for a full Thanksgiving meal to families in need, who have been referred by charitable agencies and participating churches. This last year we helped 269 families. All donations beyond the scope of the need for the Giving will go to Help of Beaufort.

Twice a year we try to help the homelss as they transition seasons. We provide clothes, food and services like cosmetology, dental, medical, etc.. We hold these events at the Charles Lind Brown Center (The Green Street Gym) at 1001 Hamar St from Noon to 2 PM. We need volunteers, and service providers to come help. if you offer a service (food, cosmetology, dental, medical, etc.) and would like to provide that service to the Homeless for free we would love to have you also be a service provider. We are also collecting clothing and hygiene related products for these events. (Contact Mike at 843-592-1352)
* April 28th: This will emphgasize clothing for the warmer months ahead.
* October 6th: This will emphasize clothing for the cold months ahead. (Coats, gloves, hats, socks, blankets, sleeping bags and especially extra large sweat suits (these seem to be especially prized by those in need.)

We try to take a few Sunday mornings each year and get out and physically meet needs in our community. We gather at 9 AM, we worship, and then let our sweat and muscle give the sermon that morning. It is a blast to have a whole crew making a difference together. We are always looking for projects and places to serve. If you have ideas or needs contact Mike at 843-592-1352. The Next Service Sunday is:
